Wine exports increase in first semester 2022
In the first half of 2022, total exports of Chilean wines increased 3.0% in volume and 1.4% in value over the same period last year, adding USD 960.24 million, according to a report by the Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa)from the Ministry of Agriculture.
From January to June this year, 218.5 million litres of PDO wine were exported for a total value of USD 725.2 million. Compared to the same period of the previous year, these exports represent an increase in volume (1.2%), but a decrease in value (0.5%).
Regarding bulk wines, its exports reached 180.5 million liters, for a total amount of USD 167.1 million, raising its average price to USD0.93/liter, which represents an increase from the previous period of 3.8%.
Shipments of sparkling wines registered a slight recovery compared to the previous year (1.6 million liters with a total value of USD 6.2 million).
